Gas appliance installation

Heaters, hot water units, BBQ points and pool heaters, connected at the right pressure and vented properly.

A gas storage hot water unit with its flue and gas connection.

When you need this

A new appliance has arrived, or the one you have was connected by someone who was not licensed to do it.

Undersized lines are the common fault

An appliance that runs poorly is often starved rather than broken. Add a second bayonet point or a continuous flow unit to a line sized for a cooktop alone and everything on that run loses pressure. We work out the total load first and upsize the line if it needs it.

Flues and ventilation

Indoor gas heaters need a flue that actually draws and a room with enough air. That is the part which gets skipped, and it is the part that matters most. Every flued appliance we connect is carbon monoxide tested before we leave.

  • Gas leak detection and repair

If you can smell gas, open the windows and ring us. We trace the leak, isolate the line and repair it.

  • Cooktop and oven connections

Bayonet points, fixed connections, and the changeover when a new cooktop does not line up with the old gas point.

  • Gas hot water

Continuous flow and storage units, repaired or replaced, with the gas line checked for the load you are adding.
